INCOMING ERASMUS STUDENTS INFO 2025
APPLICATION FOR INCOMING STUDENTS 2025
Erasmus+ students, staff and teachers recieve financial support for the mobility. B2 Ljubljana School of business does not guarantee accommodation for participants of mobilities. However, we can provide suggestions and we strongly advise you start looking for accommodation (especially students, looking for a longer stay) well in advance - at least 2 months prior to mobility, if you are looking for a good deal.
Below, there are some more information for the incoming Erasmus students.
ACCOMMODATION
Private accommodation
Here are some ideas, where to look for an accommodation. Keep in mind that Ljubljana is a small city, quite well organized regarding public transport (bus and city bikes). Our school is situated in the Vič neighbourhood, close to the city centre. You can either find an appartment / room over a dedicated page or in a hostel.
Flat rental offers for students
Hostel Simbol - very basic, close to school
Private Student Homes and Dormitories
You can also apply for a bed in student houses. They are given to students on "first come first serve" basis. The rooms in the houses are usually double, with shared facilities.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT (non EU STUDENTS)
Erasmus+ students receive financial support as follows:
SCHOLARSHIP
Exchange students receive a scholarship of EUR 800 per month to their account.
This is settled in the Grant agreement. Students are entitled to this scholarship on the basis of the agreement and do not need to provide any invoices in order to receive the grant.
Common costs, NOT COVERED by the Erasmus+ program:
Accommodation during the exchange
Food
Local transport
Insurance
PAYMENT DYNAMICS
The participant receives the first part (usually 80%) of scholarship before leaving for mobility. The rest is transferred to the student’s account after the mobility is completed. Travel expenses are paid according to the invoice and attached documents (invoices, tickets, etc.) Please make sure you save the receipts for transport, highway tolls, insurance etc.
All funds are transferred to the participant's account and cannot be withdrawn in cash. In Slovenia, it is common to use payment cards and withdraw cash at ATMs.
APPROXIMATE MONTHLY COSTS
The cost of living in Slovenia should only be used as a guide (prices are per month).
ACCOMODATION | 150 € - 550 € (student housing, private accomodation) |
FOOD | 250 € (grocery + subsidized meals: average 3 €/meal) |
CITY TRANSPORTATION | 25 €/month (Urbana bus card); up to 50 € for a used bicycle |
TOTAL | App. 450-850 €/month |
All students with student card are entitled to subsidised meals in most restaurants around Ljubljana and a subsidized bus ticket. In order to be able to use these benefits, you need to have a student card or your enrolment certificate, your ID/passport and your mobile phone (with Slovenian sim card).
Students in Slovenia get a lot of discounts for their activities. Sports are really popular and you can get really cheap sport courses, cheap visits to fitness, volleyball, football or other activities. Also, non-sport activities are discounted, like language courses, photography courses etc.
WORKING AS AN EXCHANGE STUDENT
