THE 3rd EASTERN EUROPEAN CONFERENCE OF MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS (EECME 2021)
Sustainable development in modern knowledge society
is being organized and will be held online on May 28, 2021 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. EECME 2021 is a peer-reviewed international conference focusing on research advances and applications in Management and Knowledge Economics. The International Standard Serial Number ISSN 2712-2522 is assigned to the EECME Conference website.
The EECME 2021 conference is included in the list of EDP conferences - Web of Conferences.
Sustainable development can be defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainability goals address the global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice.
The knowledge society is a human structured organisation based on contemporary developed knowledge and representing new quality of life support systems. It implies the need to fully understand distribution of knowledge, access to information and capability to transfer information into knowledge. The understanding of knowledge is the central challenge when defining a knowledge society for sustainable development.
For this reason the sustainable development in a knowledge society is a potential frame for human society development leading to social cohesion, economic competitiveness and stability, use of resources and economic development, safeguarding biodiversity and the ecosystem.
In this context, the aim of EECME 2021 is to provide a platform for researchers, entrepreneurs, higher education teachers and authorities to present their research results and development activities in the following conference topics:
- Knowledge Economics and Social Marketing
- Business Regulation and Sustainable Development Management
- International Trade and Innovation Management
- Public Administration and Entrepreneurship Education
The Conference language are English and Slovenian.
There is no attendance/participation fee for the EECME conference, as well as no participation fee for publishing full papers in the conference materials.
On-line registration for the 3rd EECME conference
All participants (active and those without papers) have to register for the conference until May 15, 2021.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Authors are invited to submit abstracts in conference topics no later than March 8, 2021. The abstract/article should not have more than 4 authors (co-authors).
Abstracts (100–150 words) should clearly state the topic, purpose and methodology of the paper. The details are given in the e-form for abstract submission:

Accepted abstracts should be developed into full papers and submitted until April 26, 2021 the latest. See SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION for further information concerning full papers submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Full Paper Template
Full papers should be sent to: eupublish@aol.com no later than April 26, 2021.
Submitted articles/full papers will be peer-reviewed by reviewers within the same field of research. The evaluation and critique generated from peer-review will provide authors with feedback to improve their articles and will allow the editors to assess the papers’ suitability for publication in the Conference Proceedings.
The result of the review process will be announced to the submitting authors by email, along with reviewer comments.
CONFERENCE MATERIALS
- After the event, the highest-ranked articles in the English language will be collected in conference proceedings, that will be published in the SHS Web of Conferences journal (a publisher: EDP Sciences) and will be submitted to Web of Science Core Collection for coverage in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI). The submissions should STRICTLY FOLLOW the SHS Web of Conferences Editorial Guidelines and Microsoft Word guidelines, together with the Publication Right form signed by at least one author for each article. References should use the Springer Physics style, as shown in the 'Key Style Points: References'.
According to the Web of Science conference proceedings selection process, every issue/proceeding is evaluated individually. The final decision about indexing in the database is given by the Web of Science’s editorial team. Web of Science selects for coverage in its Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) only those publications which are of greatest importance to the largest number of researchers and scientists worldwide.
The publication fee for SHS Web of Conferences (and not for indexing directly in the Web of Science database) is 300 EUR per paper and is paid after papers’ acceptance notification. - The rest of the articles in English, Ukrainian, or Slovenian language will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN number.

IMPORTANT DATES and NOTES
- Abstract submission: Monday, March 8, 2021.
- Notification of Acceptance and invitation to submit full papers: Monday, March 29, 2021.
- Full paper (6-10 pages) submission: Monday, April 26, 2021.
- Review results of full papers: Monday, May 17, 2021.
- All participants (active and those without papers) must register for the conference until May 18, 2021.
- Final paper submission (with review corrections) – submission deadline: Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
We recommend that you send your paper as soon as possible to allow us to send the manuscript to reviewers and get the review-result in timely fashion. The review cycle time tends to increase if you submit your paper right on the deadline date due to the large number of submissions around deadlines.
